Day 04. Your views on religion.

This can be a sticky topic! Let’s see - Religion, by definition, I do not see as a bad thing. It can help people, it can encourage, and give hope. However, the way I see religious PEOPLE acting, most of the time, is not attractive at all. I rarely disclose my own personal beliefs, because they are simply that, personal. I think, if we all just live each day the best we can, and treat eachother with kindness and other inherent instincts regarding how to interact, everyone would get alone just fine with or without religious influence.


Monster High Day 04. Favorite Monster High Boy.

Well, we don’t really get a lot of exposure to the Monster High Maleness. my favorite male doll would be a tie between Gil, because of his unique sculpt (including all of the cool transluscent pieces), and the Dawn fo the Dance Deuce, because I much prefer his hair down than up ;P In general, though, the male dolls seem a lot more ‘girly’ than they are drawn in the webisodes. In the webisodes, I honestly have to say I love Heath Burns, and VooDoo, respectively. They are comical, and even though it is kind of annoying at times, it makes me smile :)

The Hunger Games Day 04. A character you love that everyone hates.

I don’t know there are any, to be honest. I certainly enjoyed some of the lesser liked characters, just because they were needed and well written. I’m not as excited over some characters as others seem to be. But, I ‘love’ very few characters in the books. In fact, the books were pretty depressing overall :P So, while I love them, I can’t say I fangirl over anyone in particular, especially any of the characters most people hate.

Day 03. Your views on drugs and alcohol.

I, personally, have never done drugs, and rarely drink alcohol. Both seem like more of a social thing to me. I do not see why alcohol is legal, and weed isn’t. But, since it’s illegal in the states to smoke it, I avoid being around it at all. Heavier drugs….eh…I don’t really like them. I can’t really judge what leads someone to drugs or alcohol abuse (ANY abuse is bad), but, I do think it’s an escape, and there should be better things to do with your time. I also can’t get that sad when a celebrity dies because they drugged themselves to death.


The Hunger Games Day 03. A character you hate that everyone loves.

hmmm. I don’t really hate any of the characters. I do not care much for Gale, but that seems to be about 50/50 in the fandom. Everyone seems to love Effie. Her character was likeable in the movie, but in the books I could have taken or left her. As Katniss says, you can’t completely tell if she actually cares about her and Peeta, or if she is just upset because of her career. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy her character for what it is, but I have no real sympathies for her, and would not have been all that upset if she had died as a fall-out of everything.


Monster High Day 03. Favorite MH girl.

Being a little redundant here, lol, but I’m going to have to say overall it’s Abbey. She’s cute, she’s chilly, she’s blunt, she’s humorous. Frankie is a close 2nd though, even with her over-the-top cheeriness ;)


Harry Potter Day 03. Favorite villain and why.

My favorite villain (true villian) is Barty Crouch Junior. I would say Voldemort, but I already sang his praises on day 2 I think ;P I guess you could really say Barty Crouch + Barty Crouch Jr. Just the whole idea that he betrayed everyone, got put into prison, his mom took his place, he escapes from his father, and still returns to serve Voldemort. It’s very interesting, and very dynamic. I enjoyed those parts.

Day 02. Where you’d like to be in 10 years.

Lol these are always fun. As of right now, in 10 years I would love to have developed N3rdy Girl into a full, successful business. I would love to earn enough from that, doing what I love, that I would be able to only have to work part time and have more time to focus on it. I plan to still be in love with Patrick, and for us to be established in our own home, and have it decorated how we like it. I want a big garden, both veggies and flowers. I don’t really want children of my own, but I would love to be spending more time with family and enjoying them as well ^_^ I live pretty far from most of my family, and hope I’d be able to see them more, as well as Pat’s.

Monster High Day 02. MH character you feel you are most like.

I can’t believe, I think I forgot to mention Abbey yesterday! Or maybe I knew I would mention her today. Abbey is super smart, and super straight forward. That’s me in a nut shell. I HATE beating around the bush, even if my opinion is the unpopular one. And I make efforts to always speak up for what I believe. I also enjoy it to be chilly rather than warm ;)

Harry Potter Day 02. Did it take a while before you got into the series, or did you immediately fall in love.

I found out about the Harry Potter series about 2-3 books after Sorcerer’s Stone had been released. A friend from school turned me on to it, and my parents (going through their “super christian” stage, as I call it), were unsure at first. But, I prevailed, and got the first book!

It took me 2-3 tries to read the first one. The first chapter just felt soooo sloooooooow. But, once I finally got past that, I was hooked. I’ve read the books several times over, and plan to read them again soon, as it’s been a few years, and the movies have messed with my memory ;D

The Hunger Games Day 02. Your least favorite character.

GALE - He is pretentious and rude and has let his feelings get way too hurt. I don’t like that he tries to hold everything over Katniss. I don’t like how wishy washy he is. I know his strengths are important, but I just don’t like the guy.

I also despise Coin. I’m glad she died.

Day 01. Your current relationship, if single discuss how single life is.

I am currently in a relationship with my wonderful Patrick ^_^ We have been together for ~2 years and 4 months :D We are engaged, with no wedding planning yet, though we will probably not have a formal wedding anyway. We are very good for each other, able to be ourselves and all. It’s the healthiest relationship I’ve had, even with its ups and downs :)

Monster High Day 01. Your favorite MH character.

It’s so hard to pick a favorite! I’ll break it down like this:

Webisode/Specials favorite is Cleo - she has really grown on me, and I find her character has become very humorous, and she’s kind at heart.

Doll favorite is Frankie - I adore her face sculpt, and her outfits are generally very cute. Runner up would be Lagoona - big eyes and beautiful hands <3

Style favorite is Ghoulia - I probably relate most closely to the colors and designs in Ghoulia’s closet ;D Plus our personalities match <3

Harry Potter Day 01. Top 3 favorite characters and why.

Sirius Black - I loved the dimensions of his character in the books. He was far too short lived. I had to re-read the portion of the book where he falls through the veil a number of times before I believed it had actually happened.

Merope Gaunt- A very minor character, but such an example of struggle and issues. Her story, while short, is really where everything comes from. The whole Gaunt family, and the story that Harry discovers with Dumbledore in Half Blood Prince, is one of my favorite parts in the series. And that brings me to…

Tom Riddle/Voldemort- The depth of his history, the reasons he is why he is, the way he works his powers, etc, are admirable and horrible at the same time. I mean, while we may be against him, let’s admit it…he really is the reason we’re all here, right? And you can’t exactly blame him for what he becomes.

There are several other characters that I enjoy - the ‘golden trio’ is honestly pretty far down the list. All of the story, all of the dimension, and therefore what proved most interesting and thought provoking for me stems there. :)

The Hunger Games Day 01. Your favorite character.

WOW - That’s hard to say. I mean, the character I swoon the most over is Peeta: A boy-turned-man, with such devotion, and who ends up going through so much seemingly undeservedly, who’s heart wouldn’t melt?

However, my favorite character for character’s sake would probably have to be Haymitch. His past, his present, his future raising ducks (or was it geese? You’d think I’d know by now, what with having read the books so many times). He is kind of the poster boy for the entire Hunger Games process and prospects.

Other characters I pull out as particularly enjoyable are: Beetee, Finnick, Plutarch, and Cressida and crew

1.What happened to Gale exactly? Did he meet another girl? Did he and Katniss remain friends?

It says that he has a fancy job in District 2. We know from learning about the districts that District 2 was the ‘new’ District 13, so he is probably doing similar things to what he did in the war efforts.

2. After the rebellion, did the hunger games continue?

The Hunger Games did not continue. It is stated in Mockingjay that all of the past arenas were destroyed (where they were previously kept as ‘vacationing spots’ for those from the Capitol). The idea was always that the Hunger Games would stop. When Coin mentions the final Hunger Games using children from high-up Capitol government families, this is what acts as the ‘last straw on the camel’s back’ for Katniss to know she does not trust Coin at all and then kills her.

3. What happened to Katniss’ mom? Are they still in touch?

Katniss’ mother stays in one of the districts (3 or 5, I believe, but I forget without looking it up) to help build a hospital. Katniss assumes that she cannot fact District 12 anymore after having lost both her husband and Prim. They speak on the phone once Katniss gets out of her ‘shock’ period, and I have always assumed they kept in touch.

4. What happened to Annie after Finnick died?

We find out later that Annie was pregnant when Finnick died. While not much is said about her future, I always imagined she stayed close to the other remaining victors and they helped her to raise her son and remember Finnick. I doubt she would have loved again, with how strong her and Finnick’s relationship was portrayed.

5. What happened to Johanna?

I don’t recall this being mentioned in the books, so we probably will never know. If it was mentioned, it must have been some small part and didn’t grab my attention after 3 reads ;D Given Johanna’s personality, she probably went back home. We already know that she had no personal attachments anymore, so there is really no guessing what direction she would have taken.

6. How exactly did Peeta come to love Katniss again?

While this is not directly addressed, we do know a few things. Peeta was most dangerous under certain triggers, and while the venom was in his system. After the battle was finished, there would not have been as much despair to trigger him thinking it was Katniss’ fault. He learned to make distinctions between real life and tampered life via the ‘real or not real’ game they developed while waiting to attack the Captiol. We also know that, even decades later, Peeta would struggle with flashbacks. It also is made clear that it takes time for them to grow back together. It’s obvious that Katniss loves him even if she doesn’t recognize to call it that, and, over time, he has continued progress. It is implied that they work together and all of the feelings eventually come back.
