Hey, I was wondering, Do you know how to sculpt a a brand new body type for Monster High dolls? I've seen your work on etsy and I adore it! What I mean by "new body type" is a "plus sized" doll. You know, I'm not skinny at all and I really want a doll that represents the fat, fashionable nerd I am. Do you think that's possible?

Hey anon! It never notified me of this message :O thanks for the compliments :) it is certainly possible to bulk up a doll. You can use air dry clay to add to the body just remember it will be delicate. The only way to really make it durable would be to sculpt it then make a mold of the new shape and cast torsos out of plastic (like some of the people who have made torsos with two necks, etc) that takes a lot of work and materials though. For light play or display air dry clay from a local hobby or crafts shop would work just fine :)

I think they are taking me longer to make because (a) the yarn is meant for a larger size needle so it keeps slipping and (b) i was so tired my eyes kept jumping :P

6 hours later I have had some sleep and am jumping back into the fray! going to finish a couple more up then work on a different project for a little while :)
